It’s no secret to my five blog readers that I’m not very knowledgeable about sports. What I do know is how annoyed I get when other cities start ragging on mine. Yes, Philadelphia is eclectic, loud, and a bit odd, but Philadelphia is unique. So I’ll cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles playing the Super Bowl the only way I know how: A Philadelphia Eagles-Themed Dessert Platter.
Confession Time. My favorite autumn produce isn’t pumpkin – I prefer apple. So when asked to judge the Fall Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival’s Apple Dish Submissions, I naturally jumped at the opportunity.

The limoncello that I didn’t make into a cocktail (it’s strong!) I decided to make into a simple (okay, somewhat simple) but flavorful and potent dessert – a Limoncello Mini Cake. As a side note, now I’m tempted to more season versions of limoncello – cranberry-cello? No pumpkin spice-cello! Basic.
I ran the Philly 10K. I finished and didn’t die obviously.
Out of everything, I compiled a list for anyone who wants to up the ante from a 5K. This is what I learned from beginning my journey in January until now … barely alive. Okay seriously, I was a sore mess that night because I did not drink enough water. After taking an ibuprofen and drinking rivers of water, I felt fine.
My wine mom and wine auntie friends love kids, but do you know what they also love? Wine, peace and quiet. So when I heard about Russbe’s™ Reusable Popsicle Bags the first thing I thought of was Wine Ice Pops.
So it’s Leo Season (aka my birthday). Rather than staying at home and drinking with my cat, my friends encourage to make a laid back weekend celebration.
