Make February 14th Personal

This time of year prices of chocolates, flowers, and fancy dinners skyrocket. People are flexing their texting fingers to post pics to Instagram with appropriate hashtags hours before February 14th to show off their overpriced bounty to eager followers. Dazzle your palate with Alcohol-Infused Strawberries for Valentine’s Day.

Skip the marked-up gifts! Make your gift personal with Champagne-Chocolate Covered Strawberries.

Be creative and make your own sweets for your significant other or treat yourself along with a binge of Netflix favorites.

Chocolate-Dipped Berries of the Boozy Kind

Since the base of this dessert is a strawberry, you can feel less guilty about eating sweets. You are actually getting your daily allowance of fruit. If you are going to lie at least make it believable.

Ingredients

  • 12 Whole Strawberries
  • 1 lb. Milk, White, and/or Dark Chocolate melted and cooled
  • 12 Liquor Injectors Plastic Pipettes See notes below
  • 1 cup Vodka, Gin, Whiskey, or Champagne

Instructions

  1. Simply dip your strawberries into the chocolate of your choice. Be fancy and dip it into other chocolates after the prior layer dries.

  2. After dipping place your strawberries on a piece of wax or parchment paper.

  3. Let your strawberries dry in a cool, but not cold place. A sudden shift of temperature will cause the chocolate to bloom.

  4. After the chocolate hardens, fill your pipettes with the alcohol of your choice and insert it into the flesh of the berry.

  5. Store on the top shelf of your fridge uncovered or serve immediately (without the wax/parchment paper) on a pretty serving dish.

Recipe Notes

Find the strawberry pipettes on Amazon. I don’t receive any compensation for this link.

chocolate covered strawberries, French champagne, and two flute glasses on a red background.
If you or your significant other prefers not to indulge in the “devil’s juice”, you can simply omit it.

Let me just say this for my follow singletons: There’s nothing wrong with spending this day with a glass of champagne, pizza, and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Embrace self care!
